Episode 53 Morals

In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 53:

When Grace and Nick cross paths again, will they leave things up in the air? Will Tony get the truth across to Sharon at long last?

The real reason I wrote this was not to set up the Grace sleeping with Nick storyline--I just threw that in for fun. (It's a pretty unbelievable plot on the real show; but then, that's why it makes for good parody!) I really started out to try to find a way to get Nick and Grace out of the way so that Tony could plant the suggestion in Sharon's mind that Cassie was hers. This is again an attempt to just nudge this tedious plot to closure.

Also, I was just noticing there's a funny symmetry in the fact that once Grace gets pregnant (which seems inevitable), each of Sharon and Nick will have a potentially unwanted child by someone else. That has lots of plot potential--not just with the pair of them but with their families. Nikki is not going to like the way this affects the inheritance structure.

When Danny learns of Brian, will something leave him unusually cross?

Everyone on the newsgroup seems to be expecting some sort of confusion to result from Phyllis having played with the tests, so this seemed like one possible confusion.

Also, I wanted to note as an aside that many of the worst problems we have in these plots could be stopped by the simple use of a condom.

But there's also the issue of Michael Baldwin's involvement. This one was looking like it would end with Phyllis in the free and clear and I wasn't sure I liked that, so I wanted to end up on a hint that some Phyllis/Michael thing might linger to cause future problems.

That's all for Episode 53's morals. Don't miss Episode 54 and its morals!
