Episode 21 Morals

In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 21:

Miguel Fixes Take-Out Lunches

I just thought I'd give Miguel another `meaty' storyline. It's been weeks since he's served lunch. I'm sure he feels much better now that we've catered to him... or that he's been allowed to cater to us. Well, you know.

Nick and Sharon Take Off

Mostly I'm still dumb-founded about Nick's decision to tear up roots at the time when he needs the most help in terms of income and social nets from the people around him: when he's just had a kid. But I started this episode specifically by extrapolating about where he could get farthest from home. I was going to have him move to Asia somewhere, and perhaps bump into Ryan, but then the take-over idea below came up and I merged it with that plot instead. I like it when plots overlap on each other in interesting ways--it makes them less predictable than if they always remain in isolation, as happens too often on Y&R.

A Take-Over Attempt is Discovered

Independently of Nick's desire to take off, I'd been thinking about how the people in Genoa City often strike me as victims of space aliens, like in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I decided I'd ponder who was a drone and who wasn't, perhaps by observing who was out of touch with reality and who was overly repetitive.

That's all for Episode 21's morals. Don't miss Episode 22 and its morals!
